Studio8585 is led by Mario Depicolzuane and Benja Pavlin. Depending on the nature of the assignment, they either work independently or in a small team that is carefully tailored for each project, utilizing their curated worldwide network of creative specialists.

Mario Depicolzuane
Founder & Art Director

Mario Depicolzuane is a Europe-based art director, graphic designer and publisher from Croatia. He began his career working for a design agency Bunch in Zagreb, after which he started his independent creative practice in 2013. From 2015 to 2017, he worked as a lead designer and art director for Kinfolk and Ouur Media in Copenhagen. Mario's work has been exhibited internationally, published in esteemed design publications and magazines, and has won several design awards. In 2018, he founded CREATIVE.VOYAGE, an educational platform with a mission to help creative professionals level up and a home of the Creative Voyage Podcast he produces and hosts.

Benja Pavlin
Graphic Designer

Benja Pavlin is a graphic designer from Slovenia, currently based in London. She studied Sociology of Culture and English Language & Literature at the University of Ljubljana and Boğaziçi University in Istanbul before continuing her studies in graphic design. As an independent designer, she’s been designing books, exhibition graphics, typefaces, patterns and printed matter. Benja had the pleasure of working with the Museum of Architecture and Design Ljubljana (MAO) and Outsider Magazine and had her work included in the Slovenian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale. She met Mario while working at Kinfolk and has been working closely with Studio8585 for the past five years.
